Overview
The hip-hop or rap scene came to the UK from New York in the early 1980s. The media exploited the new craze and then dropped what has become, for a growing number of young black Britons, a way of life. Tim Westwood, a DJ well-respected 'on the street', has made this film as a showcase for the talented young rappers, scratch-mix DJs and graffiti artists in London. With a special guest appearance by the New York kings of rap, Run‐D.M.C., at the Brixton Academy.

A Conversational Exploration of Sonic Practice
Frequently after talking to another artist, Todd Anderson-Kunert found himself thinking of another question he would have liked to have asked them, but didn’t. Through rare and candid footage shot in both India and the United States, Raga sheds light on Shankar's influences and collaborations, from Allauddin Khan to his famed dancer brother Uday Shankar, to his associations with Western musicians Yehudi Menuhin and George Harrison. Fully narrated by Shankar himself, the film reveals music as the soul of India and of Shankar's life.
